Event Overview

The Indian Creek Triathlon was founded in 2000, by Gary Perkins, Brad Colwell and Jay Pearson. Over the past 18 years the Indian Creek Tri was mainly a Sprint Distance race. In 2005, 2006 and 2007, the Indian Creek Tri was an Olympic Distance, with 2007 being the USAT Regional Olympic Distance Championship. The race was acquired by FRESHJUNKIE Racing in 2014. FRESHJUNKIE Racing is comprised of Jonathan Dziuba, Pat Fellows, Patrick O’Brien and Jennifer Macha-Hebert. All four are experienced event directors having put on dozens of triathlons and running events. Indian Creek represents the first race FRESHJUNKIE Racing owned outright and will continue to be a signature event in Louisiana.
